Vickie and Kevin arrive

My good friends Vickie and Kevin are spending two weeks with us in Singapore- with side trips to Vietnam and Cambodia. We have been partying up with them!

One of our first stops was Marina Bay Sands. I mean, if you are going to come to Singapore, you have to see this amazing building. It's a hotel, mall, casino, and restaurants.

If you are unfamiliar with the building, watch about it here. It is an engineering marvel! I just found out that it is billed as the largest resort/casino property in the world and was developed by The Sands in Las Vegas.

We went to the top, to Ku De Ta, a bar/ restaurant with amazing views of the Central Business District. This isn't my first trip to Ku De Ta, but still worth some new pictures.

We are headed to the top of that building in the distance. The three towers hold up the longest cantilevered  platform in the world. It is the 57th floor. It has an infinity pool, restaurants, bars, and a great view!

Here's the crew! We are so happy to have Vickie and Kevin visiting. It is about the time we really miss home, so it's a great time to have friends here.

That's the infinity pool in the background. It is pretty spectacular. Unfortunately, only hotel guests can go to it.

That's the Central Business District in the background- lots of banks are located here.

Our yummy (and pricy- $20 Sing each) drinks. They are a fresh berry Bellini and some sort of cream passion fruit martini with passion fruit foam. I think that was mine and Vickie's favorite.

Still loving the panorama :)

This is looking out the back of Marina Bay Sands. This is actually a new park that opened literally the day before I left Singapore last year. It looks amazing, although we haven't been there yet.  I am hoping to make it. It is called The Gardens by the Bay. The two domes are indoor botanical gardens.

The park also has these really large "artificial trees"

Stunning view at night!

Well off to Cambodia and a wonder of the world tomorrow- Angkor Watt. I can't wait!
