Some out and about pictures

Here are just some pictures from out and about in Singapore...

This is the mall, Great World City that is about a 5 minute walk from my apartment. It is pretty awesome. The grocery store is in here (yes, the one where I accidentally spent 117 USD on 19 items). My gym is also in this mall. It is just like any ole US gym. 

 Apparently this is how they cart workers around over here...doesn't seem very safe

  This is what passes for crime around here. It really is very safe. This is still up by the way...I guess nothing else has happened since May 16th. 

 This is across the street from my apartment. I just love this building- it is so unique

 This is still my running route - it is actually much nicer the other way. I guess I should bring my camera on my next run. 

 I think this is a shrine. 

 This is what they call a hawker center here - it is basically a food center. There are tons of them in Singapore. No one cooks and eats at home here. It is much cheaper to eat at these Hawker centers. I got rice and vegetables for 2.50 sing (which is about $2.00 US). 

 Tiger beer is yummy (and gigantic)!
