Vietnam Embassy

I should be grading cases, but as all professors know this is a dreaded activity...so I will tell you all about my trip to the Vietnam Embassy to get my visa for my upcoming trip to Hanoi (so excited!!!). The Embassy is tucked back in this ultra-swanky neighborhood near Holland Village, which is an outdoor mall with restaurants, bars, hawker stands and what not.

This neighborhood we walked through had to be full of $100 Million dollar homes - it was crazy. I would love to know who lives in these houses, and what they do!

The road the Vietnamese Embassy is on...

Could be New Orleans....

This house was huge and ultra modern

In case you can't tell, that's a Bentley pulling into the house (with a Maserati in the carpark)

Real working fountain - New Orleans style again...

This house was the biggest - although this picture does not do it justice - it looked like a castle or a fortress...

The hotel was doing a fire alarm from 9:30 - 11:30, so after we went to the Embassy, we stopped in Holland Village to have some tea (M had a beer - haha)

The cafe had a roof made entirely of solar panels...super cool

My tea was a from Japan. It was supposed to be a green tea, but it tasted like drinking Kashi cereal (not sure I will have it again soon)...

While relaxing, we saw this guy zooming around on a crazy electric bike. It turns out it is a Yike Bike. Oh, the strange things you see in Singapore.
