And She's Back!!!

Just got back to Singapore for my 3rd summer teaching with UB's Singapore program.

First, this is what you look like when you've flown 30 hours. Please note that we managed to cover various stains in this picture (I happen to be covered in red wine and M may have parts of his Magnum Chocolate Ice Cream bar embedded into his shirt). Ah- the joys of sitting on a plane for 21+ hours. This is us in the hotel shuttle at 6:30 am Singapore time but 6:30 pm Buffalo time. I think you can tell we are tired - hahaha!

This time we are staying in a different place, Fusionopolis. It is closer to SIM (where I teach) and now is well connected with the MRT (train). It is really easy to get around, and there are lots of new places to explore on this side of Singapore. The bottom of the hotel has all the usual - a grocery store, a Starbucks, some bars, and loads of restaurants. Anyhow, here are some pictures of my new digs for the next six weeks.

Here it is from the outside (more info).

Yes, that is some sort of semi circular couch...

Here's a close up, and yeah it's uncomfortable...

There are 2 full bathrooms, which is nice.

And here is the view!

If you look into the distances - that is the ocean and several oil refineries. At the last place I stayed, you couldn't see the ocean.

And of course the ever present construction all around Singapore.
